Q1: What is tinplate? Are printed tins safe for food?
A: Tinplate is the steel coated with a fine layer of tin for tin protective purposes. Tinplate is a high quality safe packaging material for food items, such as cookies, candies, chocolate, etc. A food grade lacquer is coated on the inside of the tin to prevent corrosion and interaction of the tin with the food product and thus make it suitable for food storage.
Q2: How do you print on the tins? Is it screened or offset printed?
A: Metal decoration is an offset printing process utilizing CMYK colors. Print is done on large metals first, then slitting into smaller piece for stamping and formation. Offset Printing, Pantone Printing, White Lacquer, White Printing be used according to your requirement.
Q3: Can I get the sample to see the quality? Is sample for free? How can I get it?
A: Yes, sure. The existing sample can be provide for your reference. And it is free. For the customized new sample or mould, it should be charged according to the different products. Please kindly give us your company name, detailed address, zip code, telephone number, courier service account (FedEx, UPS, DHL, TNT, etc.) Then we send the samples out. Please notice that the freight is on buyer’s account. Also you can prepay us if you don’t have any express account.
Q4: Can I use your existing mould for free? If I have to customize new mould and sample, can the cost be returned?
A: Yes, our existing mould can be provide for you by free, except some special mould which belongs to our current customer. For the new mould and sample cost, if the accumulated order quantity reach to 100K, it can be refunded.
Q5: Do you make tools by yourselves ?
A: Yes, we make all tools by ourselves. We have an in house tooling department. So we an make custom molds at very low cost.
Q6: What is the MOQ? And how many designs I can do?
A: Due to mass printing and production processing, MOQ is normally 5000pcs for large size, 10000pcs for small size. 2 designs is acceptable for the MOQ.
Q7: What is the thickness of the tin box?
A: Normally, the widely used thickness is 0.23mm. And it can also adjustable according to your requirements from 0.19mm to 0.35mm.
Q8: Can I get a price list ?
A: We’d prefer to quote specific products as you required. All products we made is customized, the price can be effected by several factors, such as size, shape, quantity, thickness, printing method, colors, packaging method, etc. Additionally, the material prices can change constantly. Please tell us your requirements and we will provide you with the best solution.
Q9: What is the lead time of sample and mass production?
A: Existing sample: 3-5 days
Customized sample: 12-15 days
Customized new mould & sample: 20-25 days
Mass production time: Normally, the delivery time is 30-35 days. But it still depends on the order quantity and the season you place the order

A: In addition to traditional glossy and matt varnishes, we can offer crackle, rubber effects, wrinkle, pear varnishes etc. Even both shiny and matt effects are used on one tin box ( but different area).
