YARK has been deeply involved in the cannabis packaging industry since around 2012, during the early development of the CBD market.

In the early days, cannabis packaging regulations were still unclear. As U.S. state regulations gradually became more defined, Child Resistant (CR) packaging evolved from an option into a mandatory requirement for many cannabis products.

During this transition period, the first generation of sliding child resistant packaging was widely adopted, particularly for 510 vape cartridges — which were originally plastic and later evolved into glass cartridges.
